Moderator, In-Charge
The Moderator is the highest-ranking officer of the Church of South India. This position is typically held by a bishop who is elected by the Synod members.
The Responsibilities of the Moderator Include:
- Presiding over the sessions of the Synod and other major church meetings.
- Representing the Church of South India at official functions and ecumenical gatherings.
- Providing spiritual leadership and guidance to the members of the church.
- Promoting unity and cooperation among different dioceses and congregations.
- Advocating for the church's mission and social justice initiatives.
- Overseeing the implementation of decisions made by the Synod.
