Engaging with local communities and identifying their socio-economic needs and challenges. Developing programs that address these needs and empower the community members.

Resource Mobilization

Coordinating efforts to mobilize resources and funds for socio-economic development projects. This may involve fundraising, seeking grants, and collaborating with external organizations.

Coordination with Government and NGOs

Collaborating with government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise for community development.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Ensuring that socio-economic projects are effectively monitored and evaluated for their impact and outcomes. Making necessary adjustments to enhance project effectiveness.

Advocacy

Advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized and vulnerable groups within the diocese. Raising awareness of social justice issues and working towards their resolution.

Reporting

Preparing and presenting reports on the activities and progress of the Socio Economic Board to higher church authorities and the Diocesan Bishop.

Coordination with Other Diocesan Bodies

Collaborating with other diocesan bodies, such as the District Church Councils (DCCs) and other ministries, to integrate socio-economic development efforts into the broader mission of the diocese.

Empowerment and Capacity Building

Supporting local communities in building their capacity to address their socio-economic challenges independently and sustainably.

Spiritual Integration

Ensuring that socio-economic development initiatives are in line with the values and teachings of the Church, promoting justice, compassion, and solidarity.
